Cook, Eat, Grow

What's it all about?

These free sessions are about learning and teaching each other new cooking skills to produce healthy, varied meals with the food that we have in the Social Supermarket.

This is open to members and their households and is suitable for children and adults.

We provide the ingredients and once we have cooked, we sit down together and enjoy the meal we've created. If you would rather take it home to eat please bring a container.

When are they?

They are on the first and third Friday of each month from 12.30 - 2.30pm in the Community Café on Hall Road and commenced in February 2024.

What will be included?

A group of members joined us for a discussion to help decide what to include, so we will be covering these in our Friday sessions:

  • budget friendly meals

  • healthy snacks for children

  • batch cooking

  • food storage

  • pickling and making preserves to avoid food waste

  • growing fruit and vegetables

How do I get involved?

To book your free place, email m-c@thefeed.org.uk or pop into the Social Supermarket and speak to any of our team.

Any event where you need food use the Feed. It's amazing and everyone is always impressed.
