We have recently moved our catering operation to larger premises so we can continue to grow this part of our social enterprise.
Demand for our freshly made food has been increasing over the past two years, meaning our former venue on Prince of Wales Road couldn’t keep pace. It marks the end of an era for us, as we move on from the city centre venue which we have called home since November 2018.
Chris Elliott, The Feed’s Marketing Manager, explained “Our new venue, at the Norfolk Showground, will mean we can supply more businesses and social functions with catering, ranging from breakfasts to buffet lunches and cakes to canapés. Our combination of freshly made food, local delivery and helping our community is proving to be very popular.”
We provide a range of food to suit most budgets and dietary needs. Businesses in Norwich will still be served, but the new location makes it easier for catering deliveries to places such as Dereham, Hethersett and Wymondham. We already have long-standing catering clients of at Hethel Innovation Centre too.
The move was supported by Norfolk Community Foundation, and Laura Wigby, their Director of Community Investment, said "We are excited to partner with The Feed and support their thriving catering operation. We have added some fire power to their move to new catering premises through a social investment loan. We are proud to play a part in the journey of this amazing local organisation making a big difference to communities in Norwich".
Along with our cafés, our catering profits are invested back into the local community. The largest of thses projects is at Hall Road in Norwich which is home to our Social Supermarket and adjoining Community Café. Over 5,000 local residents access affordable groceries and advice, make connections and socialise there.
