Waterloo Park Summer Activities

There is a fantastic choice of FREE activities taking place in Waterloo Park during the school summer holidays. We have teamed up with other local organisations to provide lots of free, fun events.

• All sessions are free

• No booking is necessary

• Activities are for children all ages.

If it's raining, there will be activities indoors for the sports activity days.

As usual our café will be open for 7 days a week serving our wide choice of delicious food. We hope for a sunny summer so you can enjoy our ice creams, cold drinks, iced coffees and even ice creams for your dogs!

Big thanks go to Catton Grove Big Local, Friends of Waterloo Park, Epic and many bands and musicians for helping us provide these events.

Every Day from Mon 24 July

• giant outdoor games on the grass outside the café

• activity sheets for children to do inside the café (good rainy day option)

Wed 26 July Sports in the Park: Rounders from 11.15-12.15 and 1-2pm

Sun 30 July Music: Bon Accord, melodeon players 12-2pm

Mon 31 July - Fri 4 Aug Seek the Sunglasses - hunt for them around the park

Wed 2 Aug Sports in the Park: Cricket 11.15-12.15 and 1-2pm

Wed 2 Aug Wooden Puppet Making - run by Norwich Men's Shed 10.30-12.30. Taking place at the wildflower meadow (turn right when you walk through the main park gates off Angel Rd or turn left up the sloping path from the car park). See their Facebook page for more info and the poster below.

Wed 2 Aug Forest School 1.00 - 3.30 - this is fully booked! Further sessions on 15 and 29 Aug, see below.

Thu 3 Aug Craft Session 1.30-3.30 with Nina. Make your own crown or ribbon wand. This will be in the café and is free. Open to all ages who want to take part. No need to pre-book just come along.

Sun 6 Aug Music: Norwich City Concert Band 1-3pm

Wed 9 Aug Sports in the Park: Sports Day Fun 11.15-12.15 and 1-2pm

Sun 13 Aug Music: Lizzie and The List Band (50s to 80s covers) 12-2pm 

Mon 14 - Mon 28 Aug: Photo Competition Your chance to win a £10 café voucher! Send your best photos in the park or our café to chris@thefeed.org.uk and tell us your age group (up to 11, 12-17, 18+). There's a prize for each age group.
