REST café will now be operated by Norfolk and Waveney Mind
Norfolk and Waveney Mind and The Feed are pleased to announce that from 1 October 2024, the mental health charity will take over the operation of the café in its REST Norwich drop-in support hub.
Since opening in early 2022, the café in the hub at Churchman House on Bethel Street has been run by The Feed, a Norwich-based charity helping people to eat well, live well and feel connected. Now the café will transfer to being managed by Norfolk and Waveney Mind, with the existing staff remaining in place. It will continue to open seven days a week from 9.30am to 3.30pm.
Kate Frost, Service Manager at REST Norwich, said: “This is an exciting opportunity for our charity to take on the running of our café. We are looking forward to offering our visitors a great selection of affordable, healthy food in our convenient city-centre location. As the new-look café takes shape, we also intend to offer one-off events and new services from within the café space, connecting with local organisations and the wider Norwich community.
“We are delighted that we will retain the excellent staffing team who have worked so hard to make the café a success under The Feed’s management.
“We’d like to thank The Feed for all their hard work over the last few years and we look forward to working with them again in future.
