Supported work experience
Working in our cafes with the support of a mentor helps people on the path into employment
We provide supported work experience placements for adults who face barriers to employment.
The work experience is within our cafés and catering business and there are various roles that you can try. You do not have to be interested in working in catering and hospitality as you will learn many different practical skills that you can use in other job roles.
We aim to help you build your confidence, motivation and self esteem in our positive learning environment.
The programme takes place for 40 hours typically spread over a 10 week period.
I am relaxed when I am at The Feed, I feel I have a purpose and have something to offer others.
What will be included
We tailor the programme for each person to make it suit what you want. These are some of the things that can be included:
One to one support from one of our Opportunities Coaches.
Arranging visits and work experience with other organisations in sectors which interest you.
Helping you to set goals for your future and identifying your strengths
Making a plan and then putting this into action.
Taking a Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate.
Lunch will be provided each day you are with us.
