Supported work experience

We use food as a catalyst to motivate change

The feed chefs

We provide supported work experience placements for adults who face barriers to employment.

The work experience is within our café's and catering enterprise business and there are various roles that you can try.

You do not have to be interested in working in catering and hospitality as you will learn many different practical skills that you can use in other job roles. We aim to help you build your confidence, motivation and self esteem in our positive learning environment.

I am relaxed when I am at The Feed, I feel I have a purpose and have something to offer others.

You will have the opportunity to take your Level 2 Food Hygiene certificate if this is something that interests you. Alternatively we will help you to look for other relevant training opportunities.

You will be able to work with one of our Opportunities Coaches on a one to one coaching basis. They will help you to search for opportunities, whether it be training, employment, volunteering or other valuable work placements. They will help you to set goals for the future, identify your strengths and you can work together to plan and implement your next steps.

I think the main thing The Feed has done for me is given me my voice back.

There will be an opportunity to take part in workshops and external visits.

Lunch will be provided every day you are with us.

Our work experience is tailored to each individual so we can make sure it meets your needs. If you are interested in finding out more, please call us on 01603 850447 or send an email to support@thefeed.org.uk.
