What is New Leaf?
New Leaf is our project that supports Forces veterans and those with an offending history on a path into training, education, job search and employment. It's for men and women aged 25 and over.
How does it work?
Referrals can come from any agency and we welcome self-referrals. M-C is our Opportunities Coach for the project. She meets with each person individually and they form a plan according to the participant's hopes for the future.
Is there a cost?
No, the project is funded by the European Social Fund and the National Lottery.
In fact, help with costs such as clothes for an interview, or travel expenses to a trial shift can be applied for too.
What will I get out of it?
A plan made jointly with you and support to achieve your goals.
A weekly support session in a very welcoming environment.
The opportunity to learn new skills in a safe space.
We have excellent relationships with local employers and have four cafes which offer work experience, if that is appropriate.
